A CHANCE to enjoy grandeur and splendour is being offered to people of West Devon this weekend at the Dingles Old Time Fair Carol Service in support of Children's Hospice South West.

People of all ages can enjoy a carol service with a difference this Sunday, experiencing all the fun of an old-time fair and singing carols under a myriad of twinkling lights. Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre in Lifton is hosting the carol service with music from the award-winning 28 piece Hatherleigh Silver Band and combined local children's choirs.

As well as carol singing, visitors will be able to ride the oldest roundabout in the world (the Rodeo Switchback) laugh in the Hall of Mirrors and take a trip on the Ghost Train.

The service will take place on Sunday from 2pm. Admission is £3 and home-cooked festive food will be on offer.
