AN AUCTION of gifts and promises will be held to raise funds for a group of young singers and musicians from Okehampton, Exeter and across Devon.

'Roots Exchange' are a group of teenage singers and musicians who perform traditional music from the Westcountry and further afield, under the guidance of the folk arts charity Wren Music.

They will be visiting Cape Town, South Africa, in August as part of a cultural exchange, where they will visit schools and communities to lead workshops in traditional music from Devon, and will learn about South African music and culture.
