A SPECTACULAR array of blooms will be on display at the annual flower festival being held in Winkleigh next month. The festival will be situated in All Saints Parish Church during the weekend of June 24 and 26 and plans are already well under way for the event. The theme this year is music ? arrangements centred on different classical and popular pieces of music will be on display, together with a short history of each different work. Both Winkleigh School and the church Sunday School are involved in the festival, which closes with a summer concert by Okehampton Choral Society. Throughout the event, coffee will be available in the mornings and teas in the afternoons, with special bell ringing performances by St Petroc?s Church, Bodmin, on the Saturday and the Winkleigh Ringers on the Sunday. The summer concert will take place at 7.30pm on the Monday. Tickets for the concert are £5 per person ? advance booking is essential.
