THERE will be fun galore for children at Castle Drogo this summer.
One of the special events is a children's medieval music and dance workshop on Wednesday July 25 from 11.30am to 4.30pm with the Daughters of Elvin, who performed at the castle's medieval summer fete.
This is a chance to learn the skills of the show, including dancing, acrobatics and drumming, with a perfomance with the cast of Garden of Earthly Delights at the end of the afternoon. Booking for this is essential.
Other workshops planned during the summer will include origami, circus skills, woodland sculpture, balloon modelling and mask making, and booking for these is also required.
This Saturday, July 21, there is an opportunity to design a castle using pencils and paper and there will be prizes for the best three designs.
Competitors can go along any time between 11am and 4pm and judging will be at 4.30pm.
Shire horses will make an appearance this Sunday, July 22, between noon and 4.30pm, when rides along the drive will be on offer at 50p per person. After that, you can have your face painted at the visitor reception centre.
