VOLUNTEERS are needed to help out at one of Okehampton's foremost tourist attractions. The 2008 season at the Museum of Dartmoor Life will begin from Easter. The museum is looking to recruit between four and six volunteers who will welcome visitors from across the globe. The first exhibition of the season, 'Dartmoor Rocks,' will run from April 5 to July 7 and is in partnership with the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter. This will include a number of free workshops for children. At present, in the John Young Gallery, there is an exhibition of work from students of Okehampton College and from March 18 an African exhibition will open for two weeks. Any volunteers who are interested and can spare half a day, once a week or every fortnight, should call the curator on 01837 52295.
