MULTI-instrumentalist, clown and founder-member of the Old Rope String Band, Joe Scurfield, has been let out on his own for a while to entertain in Devon.

In an all-new show, Joe demonstrates why he loves making us laugh and shows just what a brilliant musician he is.

Three lucky village venues will have the pleasure of Joe?s company this month, among them Peter Tavy Village Hall on Saturday, March 15, starting at 7.30pm.

Joe has entertained from Bognor to Bangkok and many destinations in between. Always on tour, he loves meeting new audiences and hearing their laughter.

His natural enthusiasm for what he does and his undoubted musical talent combine to endear him to everyone aged from 5 to 105.

Along with all the jokes there is Joey the uni-cycling clown, brought out of retirement just for this tour, and some good songs with a hint of the serious.

Joe?s beloved fiddle, his constant travelling companion, will be there as well.

With all his travelling, Joe has collected many influences to enrich his musical talent: gypsy music, polkas, tangos and more, as well as traditional British tunes and reels.

Tickets are £4 adult, £3 UB40/OAP/child, £12 family (2+2) from Jill on 01822 810844.

The event is organised with the help of Villages In Action.
