Cotehele House invited children to take part in various activities through the half term.
These included forest cooking around a camp fire and tree art, where the children collected pine cones, sticks from the forest and were given some clay to help create faces to place on trees around the forest at Cotehele House.
The activities come from a National Trust booklet entitled '50 Things To Do Before You Are 11 and Three Quarters'.
The booklet title was the theme for youngsters taking part in half term activities at Cotehele House last week during half term.
The event included making bows and arrows and children were then tutored by National Trust volunteer Kevin Gamm on how to use them.
They were also shown how to start a fire without the use of matches and toasting marshmallows around a camp fire in the forest.
