ON Friday Tavistock Cricket Club Colts had their presentation evening. The Under 11s had another successful season under the guidance of Phil Stephens, ending up second in the league. Trophy winners were: batsman, Jonty Newton; bowler, Aden Mason; fielding trophy, Reece Davis; most improved (the McGahey Trophy) Nick Scaglioni. The Under 13s ended up fourth which again was a great achievement under coach John McGahey. Bowling trophy went to Jamie Stephens, fielding Dominic Scaglioni, batsman Joshua Stephens and most improved player George Rodgers. The Under 15s have also done well, most playing for the third team, some second team and Sean Cleave playing for the first team. Coach Barry Milligan was delighted with the progress made. Batting Sean Cleave; bowling James McGahey; allrounder Rob Milligan; most improved Mike Morgan. The trophies were handed out by chairman Andy Jarman, who expressed his thanks to all the coaches and coaching assistants Brett Thomas and James Kaminski. There was also a presentation and thanks given to South African allrounder Brynley Barros for his outstanding word with Colts by John McGahey, a club shirt with his name on, from club captain David Manning, and also the first team bowling award from chairman Andy Jarman.
