FOLLOWING on from the tremendous success of The Week of Breakfasts held at Stoke Climsland, villagers are planning more fundraising ideas to take place over the year to raise even more money for the Tsunami Disaster Appeal. Daily breakfasts and a Malaysian brunch held at The Old School in the village has been so successful, raising £10,600, that the team are currently discussing a long-term fundraising plan which will include more treats for the tastebuds. Organiser Juliette Memmott said breakfasts will continue to be served on Saturday mornings, while a steak night is planned for some Friday evenings, starting on January 28. A meal, including wine, will be priced at £10 a head. Once again, all food will be donated and money raised will go to the appeal. It is also hoped that a link will be set up with a Sri Lankan village so that families can sponsor victims of the disaster directly. Organisers would like to thank everyone at Woodside Animal Trust for the donation of all their white elephant goods due to the refurbishment of their shop.
