MORE than 100 people turned out to support the inaugural Moretonhampstead Mile for Sport Relief.
Fun runners of all ages ran one, three or six miles around the sports centre field and down the Wray Valley Trail to raise money for the charity.
Organiser Kate Hocking, manager of the King George V Sports and Community Centre that hosted the event, said: 'It was a fantastic day. Watching the community come together to support such a great cause was brilliant.
'Our sports centre here is owned by the community and run largely by volunteers for the sake of that community, so our link with the whole principle of Sport Relief and people working together to help and support others means even more.
'We feel very proud knowing that the money raised here will help people living unimaginably tough lives right here in Devon, across the rest of the UK and in some of the world's poorest countries.'
Kate Hocking and the organising team expressed thanks to everyone who took part and made the day a great success.
