OKEHAMPTON store More has been appointed as an extra outlet for the fundraising Hospiscare Lottery for the town and district.
Manager of the Fore Street business, Tony Crispin, said people could make payments by cash when they paid their news bill, or they could send a cheque made out to Hospiscare direct to the lottery office.
?It is only £1 per week and as well as making a vital contribution to Hospiscare there is the chance of winning one of forty prizes each week ? the first prize being £1.000,? he said.
Hospiscare Lottery administrator Sarah Smith said: ?Hospiscare, with its 25 community nurses, caters for a large part of Devon ? including of course Okehampton.
?We have the Hospice in Exeter with its 12 bed in-patient facility and its day care centre which are at the disposal of patients from all over the area.?
