BUCKLAND Monachorum Art Group will be holding its annual art and craft exhibition over the bank holiday weekend at the village hall.
The exhibition of more than 100 original paintings will show mostly work completed during the last year. It will comprise various media, including watercolour, pen and wash, pastel, water colour and pastel, acrylic and oil.
Craft stall displays will include painted china, ceramics, jewellery, hand-made notebooks, silk flowers and wood turning.
Buckland Art Group draws its members from a wide area, including Plymouth, Launceston, Ivybridge and Tavistock and always welcomes new members. Meetings take place at Buckland Village Hall every Monday evening and alternate Thursday afternoons, and include a variety of classes by experienced artists and sketching trips to local venues. Beginners are welcomed and encouraged.
The exhibition runs from Saturday, May 4 to Monday, May 6, from 10am to 5pm daily. Visitors can enjoy the show and indulge in coffee and tasty cakes.
Entrance is free and this year the exhibition will be supporting the British Red Cross.
