A PROGRAMME of walks, talks and events organised by Dartmoor National Park Authority is now available for people interested in the moor.
A series of walks is included in the programme, which are designed for people who wish to explore the moors with an experienced guide.
These will cater for all interests and abilities ranging from woodland to high moorland walks and will give walkers opportunities to brush up on navigation skills and learn more about the archaeology and history of the area.
The programme grades the walks into easy, average and strenuous, although the Authority warns dogs cannot be accepted because of potential hazard to livestock on the moor.
Booking is not necessary, except for navigation walks.
And a series of one hour illustrated talks has also been organised, on subjects ranging from peoples' use of the moor, to the significance of standing stones. The programme of walks and talks is available from the High Moorland Visitor Centre at Princetown.
