DCFA Senior Cup
Woolsery 2
Chagford 1
Chagford can consider themselves unfortunate to exit this second round game but they made last season's North Devon double winners work hard for their win.
The visitors started well and were rewarded when Robbie Miller put them ahead after just five minutes. Ralph's mis-hit shot found it's way to Miller who made no mistake with his finish.
Defensively, Chagford were stronger than they have been and dealt comfortably in restricting Woolsery to the occasional attack. Gavillet was unlucky with a thunder-ous shot from distance. The home 'keeper dived the wrong way but somehow knocked the ball over his bar with his trailing foot.
Just before half-time, Woolsery broke down their left flank and the resulting cross was hit home for the equaliser.
The second half followed a similar pattern with Chagford unable to make their presence felt more. Botham sent in some dangerous set-pieces but chances came and went too cheaply. With 15 minutes to go a home forward found himself free to collect a route one ball, to fire his shot over Scarry in the Chagford goal and send Woolsery through. The home keeper made a handful of decent saves to deny the visitors.

Chagford resevers 3
Stoke Gabriel thirds 4
CHAGFORD Reserves can point to their own misfortune not to have won this second round match.
On a positive note Steve Scott and Gavin Forsey returned for the reserves and Forsey was unlucky to give away one of the own goals as did his twin Jamie.
Chagford opened the scoring thanks to Steve Scott, who seems to have come through a long lay-off as sharp as ever in front of goal. They then conceded a penalty for the equaliser, an own goal and a then third goal before half-time.
It was another own goal was handed to Stoke, after the break, allowing them to go further ahead. Rob Lethbridge came on to reduce the deficit and Scott struck his second, bringing the hosts within touching distance. Stoke were to hold on and count themselves lucky when Scott had a 'hat-trick' goal disallowed.
n Both Chagford teams return to league duties this weekend. The firsts host University Res (3pm), while the Reserves travel to Silverton (3pm).
