MED Theatre is inviting familes to come to explore, play and create this half term.

MED Theatre is running a free workshop on October 29 at Postbridge Villlage hall. As a part of MED Theatre's Arts Council funded project, 'The Walk;' this is a family learning workshop for all ages, inspired by Dartmoor's surroundings.

The afternoon workshop will combine outdoor learning with creative activities and theatrical responses, run by MED Theatre professionals.

Participants will respond to the natural environment of the Postbridge area and take inspiration from the award-winning poem 'The Walk', written by Mark Beeson.

As a part of this Arts Council-funded project, MED Theatre has delivered dance drama workshops with Rosalyn Maynard, physical theatre workshops with Lizzy Humber, been on a residential adventure on Dartmoor, have an upcoming workshop with Complicite on October 18 and 19, and is now delivering a second family learning afternoon.

The inspiration for this project, 'The Walk' describes a dream journey across Dartmoor culminating in a vision of a more sustainable future.

The project hopes to inspire all ages with The Walk's vision of a more sustainable future.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, October 29, from 2pm-5pm and is open to all ages; children under ten should be accompanied by an adult.

Places are free, though please book a place by e-mailing Grace on [email protected]">[email protected] or call 01647 441356.
