DARTMOOR?S Local Access Forum has published its second annual report of activities undertaken by the group in 2004. The Forum, which met four times last year, hopes to provide a vehicle for productive dialogue between the different interest groups affected by the new Rights of Way Act. Among items on the 2004 agenda were how best to ensure the inclusion of common land and Dartmoor Training Areas on future ordnance survey maps, the role of the Forestry Commission in relation to the act and the use of motorised vehicles on rights of way. DLAF members also attended a regional workshop for Devon?s access forums which, according to the report, proved useful in exploring ways of securing resources to implement the new law. All agendas and papers for the meetings are published on the National Park Authority?s Website http://www.dartmoor-npa.gov.uk">www.dartmoor-npa.gov.uk Copies of the annual report can be viewed on the website and are available, upon request, from the Secretary, Dartmoor Local Access Forum, Parke, Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot, Devon TQ13 9JQ, telephone 01626 832093.
