THE Dartmoor Partnership showed its support for the South West Lakes Trust at the trust's 10th anniversary.

The South West Lakes Trust was celebrating ten years of hard work promoting the protection and conservation of the 50 inland water sites. The partnership attended the event to champion Dartmoor and raise the profile of its 540 business members.

The celebration was a success with many people taking advantage of the good weather, the exhibits, pond dipping and guided walks, while children enjoyed story telling and raven-tales.

The Dartmoor Partnership exhibited on the day in an effort to get behind the work of South West Lakes Trust. The organ-isation's aim is to help visitors understand more about the flora, fauna, ecology, the natural environment and the conservation of water sites.

Penny McInnes of the Dartmoor partnership said of the anniversary event: 'It was a superb opportunity for one organisation to show their support for another. The Dartmoor Partnership is really proud to help and promote all that happens on Dartmoor, especially events that are here to educate locals and visitors on the conservation issues we face.'
