LEGAL proceedings to secure the removal of three mobile homes from the grounds of a West Devon pub will go ahead, if Dartmoor National Park Authority?s planning committee give it the green light at its meeting tomorrow (Friday). Planning consent for the three static caravans at the Fox and Hounds Hotel in Bridestowe has been refused ? despite the fact that five other residential mobile homes on the land have been given permission to stay. The caravans are all occupied by members of staff at the hotel. Planning committee members visited the site and expressed sympathy for the application in terms of its economic and social benefit ? but believe the number of mobile homes have a detrimental impact on the character and appearance of the national park.
