TAVISTOCK took their time to settle, with vital players missing and others out of position. The ball went from end to end, with play looking scrappy.
Halfway through the first half Tavistock started to gel and were rewarded when Donna Burch found the sound feet of Louise Evans, who placed the ball in the corner of the net.
The second goal came after several handballs from University. Aileen Ismail coolly slotted home the penalty to bring it to 2-0 at half time.
Tavistock came out into the second half and soon found their third goal. After Evans struck the post the rebound fell at Sarah Blowey's feet, and she hammered it home.
Tavistock went further ahead with a penalty taken by Burch. The fifth goal came after Janie Sivyer linked up with Helen Miller and Burch to find goal-hungry Evans who placed it into the corner of the net.
Kirsty Jones had a great game and her battling paid off when a cracking shot curved into the goal.
Tavistock found time to add one more to their tally with an excellent strike from Sarah Blowey on her first game for Tavistock.
Attempts to break through Tavistock's defence were met by Kerry Gliddon who was joint lady of the match with Janie Sivyer.

THE game started poorly with a number of key players injured and only ten on both sides.
It took a lucky break and strong shot to put Exeter in the lead. Kerry Gliddon and Aileen Ismail battled well at the back.
The ball was difficult to control on a hard surface but Tavistock gave it away too easily with sloppy passing. Shortly before half-time Louise Evans ran onto a long ball forward and managed to beat the keeper with a low hard shot into the corner of the net.
The second half started with Exeter scoring within minutes of the kick-off after a back header from Julie McGowan was picked up and another low hard shot into the corner again beat the keeper.
Tavistock started playing good football but the ball was not picked up on and chances made by Kirsty Evans and Donna Burch on the wings were wasted. Janie Sivyer battled away and with McGowan pushing up cleared yet another onslaught by Exeter and pushed the ball through to Rachel Galvin. She dribbled through the defence and slotted the ball into the path of Evans who neatly put it away to equalise.
Tavistock had 10 minutes to win the game and stay top of their league but chances were not picked up on and fitness showed when in the last five minutes Exeter scored twice on the break against the run of play.
Lady of the match went to Kerry Gliddon.
Tavistock ladies play their last match of the season on Sunday at Langsford Park . 11am kick-off.
