A 74-YEAR-old Alzheimer?s sufferer was found safe and well on Tuesday by the Tavistock section of the Dartmoor Rescue Group after he was seen wandering alone in the Polbathic area in South East Cornwall. A huge search was mounted for the man, who went missing from St Winolls at around 7.30pm on Monday night. The police, coastguards and an RAF helicopter searched through the night for the man, before the rescue group, including two search dogs with their handlers, was called in at around 5am on Tuesday. Rescue group leader Bud Francis said: ?It was quite a mixed area to search ? there was woodlands, the coast path, farmland, but he was actually found by one of our guys at Sheviock. He was still on the wander, but he seemed quite pleased to see us.? Mr Francis said the weather had been dry and not too cold during the night, so the man had not come to too much harm. The search concluded at about 9.30am.
