STARTING the new year of theatre and arts at Callington CAVe is Miracle Theatre, who return to the town where they played to sell-out audiences last year.

'Beauty and The Beast from Mars' will be performed for one night only at Callington Town Hall on January 6 at 7.30pm and a pre-performance bar will be open at 7pm.

This performance, described as 'a wonderful piece of escapism and great fun for the whole family' has toured the county and attracted large audiences. It combines all the elements of a traditional family pantomime with out-of-this-world extras from rock and roll tunes to ruthless space aliens.

Teenage heart-throb Bobby Beauty is a household name with a string of top ten hits, but his astronomical career is brought to a full stop by the arrival of a flying saucer. When Bobby is abducted by a beautiful but heartless alien, his number one fan Nurse Bumper is never far behind. Can they overwhelm the beast from Mars and save the human race?
