A RECENTLY formed support group in Tavistock for people affected by lung conditions would like to see more people come along to the beneficial group.

The Breathe Easy network is part of the British Lung Foundation which is the only UK charity working for everyone affected by lung disease.

The Tavistock group of Breathe Easy, which was set up six months ago, provides people with a chance to meet, make new friends and share information and advice.

Everyone is welcome - including carers, family and friends, no matter where you live.

Respiratory nurse specialist Lois Quick said: 'Living with a lung condition often makes the condition belong to the whole family, in that all family members are affected in some way.

'This group is an ideal way for both individuals and families to not only learn more and share their experiences but also just to enjoy themselves together.'

Group members meet at the Ancourage Centre in Chapel Street on the last Wednesday of each month at 2.30pm and listen to a speaker on a wide range of subjects, not just medical.

There is also a raffle, refreshments and always time to talk.
