MEDIEVAL Games, including Alquerque and Bandi will be played at Okehampton Castle on Saturday, July 30 and 31. The day, which is open to the whole family, will demonstrate how Bandi, a form of hockey with no rules, and other games were played, with the opportunity to play them yourself. The Heuristics medieval entertainment group will be explaining the history and evolution of the games and there will be the opportunity to learn about medieval medicine. Callie Saxty, head of visitor operations at the castle, said: ?This is a really great event that the whole family can be involved in?. The day starts at 11am and finishes at 5pm with an entry charge.
