TAKING pride in presentation in the Food Hall was Lovaton Farm displaying its range of naturally reared quality meats.

The South Tawton farm has homebred Dexter and Dexter cross Devon cattle which graze in the summer on 'higher level stewardship' land promoting wildlife friendly farming. They also sell lamb from its flock of Lleyn Ewes and pork from their herd of Gloucestershire Old Spots, Saddlebacks and Welsh sows.

The meat company supply 14 local shops including at Bow, North Tawton, Tedburn St Mary, Okehampton, South Zeal, Spreyton, Cheriton Bishop and Exbourne.

Simon Kemp, for Lovaton, said: 'This is our third year at the show although we were also booked to do the two years when it was called off because of the rain.

'As a business it's definitely worth coming to the show as we meet a lot of our existing customers as well as making a lot of new ones.'
