THE Tamar Valley Ferry will be operating this May bank holiday weekend, offering the chance for passengers to explore the area from the river.

The service runs between Calstock and Cotehele Quay. It also calls at Ferry Farm on the Devon bank near Bere Alston on demand.

The ferry will run this Saturday from 12.30 to 6.30pm, Sunday 1.30pm to 6.30pm and bank holiday Monday from 2.30 to 6pm.

The service will take a short break before the full summer service begins on May 24.
