A DRUM clinic and masterclass by rock music icon Carl Palmer, one third of supergroup Emerson, Lake and Palmer, is being held in Exeter next month. The event at the Barnfield Theatre in Exeter is being organised by Okehampton couple Lee St Pier and Emma Butcher, who run Project Music in Exeter. ELP sold more than 35 million albums, and are best known for their track Fanfare for the Common Man. After ELP, Carl formed Asia and is now touring with his own Carl Palmer band. Lee and Emma have been fortunate to secure Carl?s visit to Exeter just before his band set off for their latest tour of the USA in May. The drum clinic in Exeter is taking place on April 19 and will feature Carl playing and discussing various aspects of drumming technique.
