Marystow Church in Chillaton celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday last Sunday in style with a tractor run and church fete.
The event was also in aid of the Devon Air Ambulance, which had a stall at the latter.
The event took part between 10.30am and 4.30pm and there was plenty to do for all ages. The main event was the tractor run which took part at lunchtime.
As well as the tractor run, the fete had lots of stalls. Other entertainment included the children’s face painting and a crown parade in the afternoon.
Youngsters aged between 5 and 18 were invited to take part in the junior photography competition named ‘My Favourite Photograph’. They were split in to two groups based on age and displayed their photographic entries throughout the event.
Along with the traditional village fete stalls such as cakes, books and plants, Marystow also had a selection of vintage Cars for the public to view.
For the children, the entertainment continued into the afternoon with a bouncy castle and a fancy dress competition, whereas the adults could enjoy the photographic exhibition set up by the Launceston Camera Club.
Overall the fete was a huge success with record tractor run and the event raising almost £1,200 for the Devon Air Ambulance.
