A SAMPFORD Courtenay resident has handed over a bumper £900 cheque to the crew of the Devon Air Ambulance, which he raised by completing the gruelling London Marathon.
Edward Lowe said he would like to thank everyone who sponsored him so generously for the run, which took place in April.
Lyn Paver, general manager of the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, said: ?We would like to thank Edward for this fantastic donation. We would also like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who took part in the London Marathon and similar local events.? Lyn said anyone considering running in next year?s event who would like to raise cash for the air ambulance can contact the Trust for a special sponsor pack.
