TAVISTOCK Athletic Club's Adam Holland recently completed six marathons in four weeks — making his total of marathons completed to date 38. Adam, 22, completed the Coastal Trail South Devon Marathon in four hours, 15 minutes and 44 seconds, finishing in sixth position; Bustinskin Chesil Marathon, four hours, 13 minutes and 32 seconds, fourth position; Nottingham to Grantham Canal Run (29.3miles) four hours, six minutes, fifth position; Grantham to Nottingham Canal Run (29.3miles) four hours, 14 minutes, 37 seconds, sixth position; Duchy Marathon, three hours, six minutes, 57 seconds, sixth position; Coastal Trail Pembrokeshire Marathon, three hours, 40 minutes, third position.
Still to come up for Adam is the Jurassic Coast — three marathons in three days from March 27 to 29; the Coastal Trail Cornwall Marathon, April 4; Taunton Marathon, April 5; the night day marathon at Stratford-upon-Avon from 6pm on April 10 to 6am the following day; London Marathon on April 26.
After those marathons will be the Brathay Challenge of running ten marathons in ten days — 26.2 miles a day for a week and a half from May 8 to May 17.
Adam said: 'I am aiming to become the youngest person ever to complete ten marathons in ten days. I am raising funds for Brathay Hall Trust, a charity providing help for under privileged children.'
