A PROJECT which aims to make agencies such as health, police and counselling services available to pupils was officially opened at Tavistock College last Thursday. The Multi Agency Project's aim is to help promote closer co-operation between agencies responsible for the wellbeing of young people and make it easy for students to access them during lunch breaks. The pilot scheme was started last year and was very successful, with an increasing number of groups becoming actively involved. Agencies work from the MAP room at lunchtimes and the college also has its own peer support team which operates from there. College principal Colin Eves thanked the National Health Service for their contribution towards helping refurbish the facility.
