PARENTS are being given a financial lifeline thanks to West Devon's NCT offering an alternative to brand-new baby products.

The charity's popular 'Nearly New Sales' provide parents with the opportunity to buy top quality clothes, toys and accessories for babies and toddlers in 'nearly new' condition at knock down prices.

Profits from the sales go towards helping the NCT charity support its services and campaigns.

With 700 organised UK-wide by local NCT branches each year, Nearly New Sales help around 250,000 expectant and new parents kit out their kids for less than high street prices.

Kate Ness Pomroy, chair of the NCT Plymouth and West Devon branch, said: 'At our last Nearly New Sale, a branch member bought almost everything she needed for her first baby for under £200 — that's a huge saving.'

The next NCT Nearly New Sale is being held on Saturday, March 21, from 10.30am to 12.15pm, at Woolwell Community Centre, Plymouth.

Seller packs will be issued until Saturday, March 14.
