THE next Tidy Tavi day in Tavistock will be Saturday, June 9 for the group's regulars, and anyone else who is keen to keep their town spick and span.

This will avoid a clash with the jubilee celebrations, which may well generate a surplus of litter in the town centre.

Volunteers should meet outside The Wharf at 10am. Litter pickers, bags and hi-vis tabards will be provided.

The group has expressed thanks to the management of the Wharf for their support in allowing use of their parking facilities on Tidy Tavi days.

Thanks also went to South West Water for its ongoing backing and encouragement.
