A POPULAR music and beer festival is being held at Tavistock Rugby Club next month in aid of Devon Air Ambulance. The 'Tavistock Summer Solstice' is a new but already popular event which is now in its second year. On Saturday, June 21 the day begins at noon with live music from eight local bands and acoustic artists, sponsored by Microlink PC. Artists performing will be Adam Issac, The Reoffenders, Andy and Matt, The Rock N Roll Outlaws, The Gruff Nuts, Rory Gilmore, Delectable Celia and The Jack — all of whom regularly perform within the Tavistock area. In addition to the bar facilities there will more than 20 real ales and local ciders, all at £2 per pint. Food will be available at the barbecue which will be ongoing during the course of the day. Admission costs are £10 per person and £12 after 6pm.
