AFTER last year?s successful event the organisers of the Hayne Dog Jamboree have decided to hold it again this year. It will be held at Hayne Old Manor, Moretonhampstead, on Saturday, September 24 and will be in aid of Devon Air Ambulance, Sir Francis Chichester Trust for Youth, Canine Partners and Dogs for the Disabled. There will be many events, including a pedigree and family dog show, dog fancy dress, gundog scurry, lurcher, terrier and ferret racing, citizen?s award, pet obedience and ?have a go? agility. There will also be demonstrations by sheep dogs, Newfoundland water dogs, gundogs, heelwork to music, agility, patrol dog and a falconry display. A bar and refreshments will be available. The event?s main organiser Elizabeth Constantine said: ?Last year it was proclaimed a really good day for everyone and raised £5,000. We hope to do even better in 2005.
