AN EVENT is being held tonight (Thursday) for Milton Abbot-based children?s charity CHICKS where its first fundraising calendar will be launched.
The calendar has been endorsed by CHICKS? (Country Holidays for Inner City Kids) long standing patron Jenny Agutter and features panoramic landscapes by Westcountry photographer Paul Smith.
Held at the Grand Hotel in Torquay, the evening will include an auction of three one-off special edition prints by Mr Smith.
CHICKS fundraiser Elanor Sides is hoping local supporters will go along to the free event, which starts at 6.30pm and wine and canapes will be served.
CHICKS provides free respite breaks for disadvantaged children between eight and 15 years old. Over 650 children benefit each year with 130 from Devon.
