CELEBRATED songwriter Gillie Nichols will perform at the first autumn meeting of Okehampton Acoustic Club on October 12.

Gillie released her first solo album, Spirit Talk, prior to joining the Albion Band, where she co-wrote and recorded with Ashley Hutchings.

Mozura, three singer songwriters from Devon will also perform. Formed in 2009, the trio play an alt-blues sound that combines traditional acoustic guitar with infectious bass lines.

The band Chordial, with the song-writing of Robert Spence and multi-instrumentalist Kris Adamczak will also perform, as will club founders Troubadour's Garden, the duo of Phil Bird and Anna Georghiou.

Doors at the Ockment Centre open at 7.30pm, with entry costing £2.50. People are welcome to bring their own refreshments.
