POLICE, Plymouth, Cornwall and Dartmoor Rescue Groups, the Coastguard, Cornwall Fire Service and specialist dogs who were on a training course in Okehampton were all deployed to search for a missing man in the Gunnislake area this week. The 84-year-old man, who was in failing health, went missing from a nursing home in Albaston on Sunday. Police appealed to residents and farmers to check their gardens and outbuildings and the police helicopter carried out aerial searches, eventually leaving the area on Monday morning. The man was later found near Delaware School at 6.15pm on Monday and was checked over by a doctor.
