THE annual Iddesleigh Produce Show was held on Saturday, August 29 in the Northcote Hall.

In spite of the difficult weather conditions over the year, there were over 330 entries and some strong competitions. There was close competition in the vegetable section with Les Curtis beating Jamie Stuart by just two points.

The entries for the preserves were also up and very competitive. The men's cake competition was again won by Arnold Shipp.

The judges had difficulty in choosing the best exhibit in the show, which was won by Pauline Laurence.

Les Curtis won the vegetable cup and Arnold Shipp the tankard for the men's cakes and flowers cup.

The under nine cup was won by Fiona Purdon and the over nines by Kitley Lane.

The cup for the most points in the show was won by Pauline Laurence.

An excellent tea was supplied by the ladies and a lovely afternoon was enjoyed by everyone.
