PETROCKSTOWE Park management committee has received a grant from the Awards for All National Lottery scheme to upgrade its play facilities.

The grant of £8,416 has been given to the park for refurbishment works, which is due to start in the spring. Treasurer of Petrockstowe Play Area, Chris Hansen, said: 'We are over the moon with the grant and it means we can supply new man made bark and refurbish all the old equipment in the park.

'It means a lot to the kids and they are really excited about having a new park.'
