TAVISTOCK lost the toss and were put in to field.
James Brown and Brett Thomas were the opening bowlers, making an impressive start by only conceding 30 runs after 17 overs.
Bowling changes were made.
The opening batsmen moved the score on to 64 for the loss of the first wicket.
The pressure was kept on by Roger Whittingham, Ben Neale and John Townsend with a regular fall of wickets. Tight fielding by Tavistock restricted Babbacombe to 142 for 8.
Paul Strawbridge and Steve Johns opened with a partnership of 68 for the first wicket.
A quick flurry of runs was made by Brett Thomas who was caught at square leg with the score at 116. Mark Webber and Steve Johns quickly knocked off the remaining runs with a final straight drive from Steve Johns, not out 65.
Tavistock won by eight wickets.
