Lorraine, 60, who has been a lady taverner for more than 25 years, said she was delighted to be part of the occasion, which included a beauty and fashion show.
'It's a wonderful charity because it raises lots of money for disabled children,' she said. 'It also brings together like-minded people and the charity is full of strong women who always have fun when they get together.
'I was invited along last year as I was doing a play at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth and when they asked me back I jumped at the chance. This is also such a lovely part of the world and I like to visit the regions if I can because so much is centred around London.'
The day focussed on giving a new image with hair, make-up and skincare demonstrations and the winner of the 'New Image Draw' Rhiannon Jones from Plymouth was the model.
It was followed by a champagne reception and time to browse around the stalls before lunch. A fashion show later featured clothes from Beau of Yelverton and Breeze of Totnes. The day was rounded off with a silver jewellery raffle.
The Lady Taverners is part of the Lord's Taverners, the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity whose objective is to give young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance. The day raised £3,000.
