RETAINED Princetown firefighter Keith Taylor received a long service medal last week, for more than 20 years as a member of the crew.
Keith, who from a child had always wanted to be a fireman and realised his dream when he moved to the Dartmoor village in 1989, has loved the excitement, the variety and the camaraderie of the fire service.
He was presented with his medal at the Prince of Wales pub in Princetown by group fire commander Ian Lacey.
An HGV lorry driver, the fireman, who is originally from Dudley, is now 50 and intends to remain a Princetown firefighter for years to come: 'As long as I am fit I can and will keep going,' he said.
