A WEST Devon youngster lopped off her long locks for charity in the hope of being able to create a wig for a child with cancer.
Emily Baker-Thurston, from Buckland Monachorum, had her waist length hair, that she had been growing for several years, cut off to above her shoulders at the Cutting Company in Yelverton on Saturday, so she could send 17 inches of hair to the Little Princess Trust — a charity that makes and provides real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
Emily left the Cutting Company with a newly styled bob and her remaining hair in plaits ready to be sent off to the charity.
