JINGLES, a hobby horse with Lodestone Border Morris dancers, helped entertain a large crowd on Boxing Day in Tavistock’s Bedford Square.

‘We danced after the hunt departed to bring a bit of festive cheer,’ said member Stephen Newland.

‘Jingles enjoyed the occasion, seeing all the other horses and ponies. He doesn’t get out much from the stable, but this followed a particularly busy Christmas period, when he also appeared in our successful seasonal Mummer’s play.

‘Boxing Day is a time for traditional events, and he really enjoyed cavorting around the dancers, musicians and spectators.’
