THE Exhibitionists' presented by 'Ridiculusmus' theatre company comes to Hatherleigh Town Hall on Saturday at 8.30pm, as part of a national tour following their huge success at Edinburgh's Festival Fringe in 1999.
Winning two prestigious awards, The Total Theatre Award 1999 and The Herald Angel Award 1999, and impressing public and press alike, Ridiculusmus certainly made their mark in Edinburgh last year with their latest show.
'The Exhibitionists' is a surreal look behind the scenes at the hidden lives of gallery attendants. It you have ever felt sorry for those uniformed people who watch over our national treasures, then this may change your mind. What they get up to when we're not watching is quite incredible.
According to Ridiculusmus they pass the time by swapping clothes, ballroom dancing and performing soap operas!
With a style that is 'joyfully barking' according to one national newspaper 'The Exhibitionists' is the perfect antidote to the 'post-millennium blues' that you may be experiencing.
Ridiculusmus are totally professional lunatics who will have you convulsed in incredulous laughter. If you like your theatre wild and unpredictable then this show is for you.
Tickets: £4 from Hatherleigh Festival office, 5 Victoria Road, Hatherleigh, or 'Swanners', Hatherleigh or telephone 01837 811116.
