RE: Letter sent in by Rob Godwin, Times, October 15, about new buses by Stagecoach on the Tavistock to Plymouth route.

I was talking to a bus driver at The George bus stop, Plymouth, who was off work and taking his family to Goose Fair. He said that the new buses will be introduced shortly and that the take over of First and CityBus was done so quickly and had no choice but to put the old buses on until the new ones become available.

Let’s hope this is the case as even I am missing the number 42 CityBus, which took under half and hour and was comfortable. Now the number 1 Stage Coach takes at least three quarters of an hour!

Living in hope that the new buses will come up to scratch.
