IT's full throttle on for Okehampton Bikers as they look forward to tucking into their Cream Tea Run this week in the town.

This annual charity event, organised by the Okehampton Bikers and the SRBC Rally Club, is hosted by Adventure Okehampton at Bracken Tor House from the June 8 to 10 — promising a weekend of fun and friendship with some great live music, food and a bikers' ride out.

Kicking off tomorrow (Friday) evening, the music starts at 7pm running through until late with headline act The Monkey Gland Blues Band.

If you fancy experiencing the group ride out then the 'Cream Tea Run' charity motorcycle ride meets at the London Inn at 11.15am on Saturday, leaving the pub at noon and riding to The Jamaica Inn, Bolventor for lunch.

Returning to Bracken Tor House the party starts again from 7pm with more live music including headline act 'Stevie, one bloke and his mandolin.'

Mini buses will be running from the Post Office to Bracken Tor. Admission is £3 per evening or £5 for both nights.

If you want to camp it's just £20 per person for the weekend including breakfast and the ride is £5 per bike.

With live music, bikes, bar, raffle and barbecue all proceeds are going to Hospicare and the National Association for Bikers with a Disability.

Chris Hodgson for the organisers said: 'This is another great event in Okehampton and a fantastic opportunity to make some new friends and have a great time.'
