A DAY-long painting session involving artists and members of the public has created two brilliant paintings which will now go on display.

The Live Art event held in Bedford Square, Tavistock, saw four artists from Drawn to the Valley and various members of the public, contribute to two large paintings — one of Bedford Square and one of the parish church (above and right).

The event was to promote Drawn to the Valley's largest-ever Open Studios event, with 101 participating artists, which runs until September 8.

The finished painting of the square is hoped to be displayed somewhere near the location, and the painting of the church will be donated to the church, along with the donations given by members of the public on the day.
