FREE coffee and doughnuts are being offered to emergency services personnel at the Little Chef at Whiddon Down next week. From June 19 to 25 members of the police, fire and ambulance service can have a well deserved break at the restaurant to celebrate the opening of the new takeaway Coffee Tempo. Restaurant manager Sally Worby said: ?We wanted to reward our roadside heroes with a treat, so we thought we would take a tip from the Americans and create the tradition of a coffee and doughnut here in the UK. ?All they have to do is call in and quote ?Rescue Me? to receive their refreshments.? The £2-million investment to develop 28 Coffee Tempo sites will also mean a refurbishment of the adjoining Little Chef at Whiddon Down.
