ON the subject of the proposed Den Brook Valley wind farms, over the past two years the concerns of minimal electricity production and environmental blight on a large scale have been widely and publicly debated. As the borough councillor representing Spreyton, I would urge the members of the West Devon planning committee to place foremost on the agenda, the strong views of the local residents. Over the past two years I have attended every public meeting and virtually all local residents are opposed. During this period over 40 residents affected by this development have written to me personally and only one has been in support. I urge the members of the planning committee to listen to the local people and reject this application. Paul Ridgers Drewsteignton Ward West Devon Borough Council
